Once again America has suffered yet another mass shooting, that this time has seen 20 people dead with another 26 injured inside of a Walmart in El Paso, Texas. According to Complex, among the shooting victims, was a 25-year-old mother of three, Jordan Anchondo, who was killed while shielding her baby as the gunman opened fire. Associated Press is reporting that her 19-year-old sister, Leta Jamrowski, was notified of Anchondo’s death and confirmed that she was killed while protecting her two-month-old son. “From the babies injuries, they said that more than likely my sister was trying to shield him,” Leta reported. The wounded infant is currently being treated for broken bones which it received when his mothers body fell on top of him. “So when she got shot she was holding him and she fell on him, so that’s why he broke some of his bones. So he pretty much lived because she gave her life.” Among the list of suspected victims is Jamrowski’s brother-in-law Andre Anchondo, who was at the mall shopping for back to school supplies with the mother and son. “They said that if he were alive, more than likely he would have gotten in contact by now,” the sister added. So far El Paso Police Chief Greg Allen has stated to reporters that they believe that this act of terrorism was hate motivated. For more details on this terrible massacre, click on the link below.
