‘BAD BOYS FOR LIFE’ BRINGS IN $68 MILLION ON ITS DEBUT WEEKEND

Who would have thought that after all these years the sequel to 1995’s ‘Bad Boys’ would see so many dollar signs in the year 2020. The movie starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as detectives, out earned it’s previous debuts and exceeded it’s prediction of $38 million this weekend, as they take down a head guy for the Miami drug cartel. According to Complex, the movie did so well that Sony Pictures is already working on the fourth Bad Boys with screenwriter Chris Bremmer. On a recent interview with GQ, Lawrence addressed the 17-year gap between Bad Boys 2 and Bad Boys For Life, blaming it on Will’s need of a proper script. “The script wasn’t right,” he stated. “And Will, to his credit, refused to do the movie until the script was right. It wouldn’t have been a good movie. We didn’t want that. We wanted people to go, ‘Oh man, that’s what I’m talking about. It just gets better.” On the same weekend, We The Best Music Group released the films soundtrack, which featured Will’s son Jaden Smith. To view the full story, click on the link below.
