A popular women’s pad brand has decided to take out the female symbol from their logo, in order to become a more transsexual and non-binary friendly company. The brand known as Always (owned by Proctor and Gamble), told the public they have heard the requests from advocates, who brought to attention the fact that trans and non-binary people can also experience menstruation. According to Global News, the decision was made that the female symbol will be removed sometime in the near future. A statement was released from Proctor and Gamble to Global, claiming that they are “committed to diversity and inclusion” of all of their customers. “We routinely access our products, packaging and designs. We take into account a broad array of factors, including feedback from consumers, to ensure we are meeting the needs of everyone who uses our products,” finished the statement. Do you think society is going too-far to accommodate every new self identification that pops up, or is it right to include every persons beliefs in the designs of not only consumer products but also our society itself?
