According to a survey done by Stats Canada, consumers of dried cannabis have seen a major hike in product cost. With information from an updated version of its crowdsourcing app, Stats Canada claims that some provinces have seen a cost increase of over 17 percent “the taxes and fees create prices that are high out of the gate, and then a lack of competition prevents those prices from being slowly pushed down,” says David Clement, Consumer Advocate.
