BIANCA ANDREESCU WINS CANADA ITS FIRST EVER GRAND SLAM TITLE AT THE U.S. OPEN

The Legendary Serena Williams has been defeated by Mississauga Ontario teenager Bianca Andeescu on Saturday, during an intense U.S. Open woman’s singles final match up. The 19-year old won with a score of 6-3, 7-5, making her the first Canadian to win a Grand Slam singles title. According to CBC, the future face of female tennis won the match with a powerful forehand, but also with a little help from “uncharacteristically bad service game the veteran Williams.” This will mark Bianca’s third tournament win in her early career and will be by far her biggest victory to date. The star from the north will now go from seed 15 to No.5 spot on the new WTA rankings and also earn her a nice $3.85 million U.S. in cash.
