It appears that the Royal Canadian Mint has triggered some serious back-lash in the “LGBT” community for it’s newly issued $1 coin commemorating 50 years of homosexual rights since being partially decriminalized. According to CBC the loonie is to be launched on April 23rd at an invitation-only event in Toronto which will feature a stylized depiction of two human faces overlapping within a large circle, the dates 1969 and 2019 and the word “equality” in English and French. Canada is a country that welcomes all people, but with an on-going poverty and homelessness issue in larger cities such as Toronto, who is funding and paying for this event and newly issued coin?
