COLLEGE QUARTERBACK GETS ARRESTED AFTER POLICE MISTAKE BIRD POOP FOR COCAINE

It was a frustrating night for a Georgia Southern quarterback, after he was pulled over and arrested for what Police Officers believed was cocaine on Shai Werts’ vehicle. Well as it turned out, the ‘cocaine’ was actually a spot of bird poop, and according to Complex, the whole embarrassing exchange was recorded on camera. On July 31 in Clinton, South Carolina, the 21-year-old college football player was originally pulled over for speeding which then led to officers searching his vehicle. At about 5:10 in the WSAV-TV video, you can see the cops closely inspecting the hood of the car and even shining flashlights on it before claiming that they had allegedly found a white substance. One officer can even be heard asking, “What’s the white stuff on the front of your hood, man?” To which Werts quickly replies, “Bird shit.” The officer then continued to claim that the white spot tested positive for a controlled substance. “I swear to God it’s not bird poo, because I Just tested it, and that turned pink.” After Werts had been arrested and charged with misdemeanor cocaine possession and speeding and suspended from GSU team activities, TMZ has reported that the charges were being dismissed due to the fact that the substance was not cocaine at all.
