CTV News is saying a major public alert is being issued by Ontario health officials. According to a press release from Waterloo Region Integrated Drug Strategy, the cannabis look-alike was found to contain traces opioids, and that the substance has been found in Ontario. Reports say that the drug appeared to be cannabis, but, tested to not even contain any cannabis at all. The testing did however, show that the fake ‘weed’ contained carfentanil. So far, officials are not disclosing the location that the drug was discovered in, but Waterloo Region and Guelph police say that they have not seen the drug there yet.
