Video game powerhouse Sony, has just launched its very own studio that will be turning some of PlayStation’s video games into movies and TV shows. According to ‘The Hollywood Reporter,’ Sony is calling their new studio, PlayStation Productions, which is said to be reaching as far back as a quarter-century into it’s game archives. So far, reports say PlayStation Productions is already up and running, and that they are even working on their first projects at Sony’s lot in Culver City, California. The chairman of Sony’s Worldwide Studios, Shawn Layden told the public, “We’ve got 25 years of game development experience and that’s created 25 years of great games, franchises and stories,” then added, “We feel that now is a good time to look at other media opportunities across streaming or film or television to give our worlds life in another spectrum.” Let us know in the comments what games you would most like to see Sony turn into a movies or TV shows.
